Through a blended finance solution, the Inter-American Development Bank, Innovative Oil and Carbon Solutions (INOCAS) and Climate Investment Funds stimulated the development of the macaúba value chain in Brazil. This case study analyzes how the initiative crowded in funding from additional investors, provided an alternative income for small farmers, and demonstrated potential for positive environmental impact.
