In Kenya, the agricultural sector employs over 40% of the total population and accounts for 65% of the country’s export earnings. Yet, smallholder farmers in the country face challenges in realizing their full potential due to a lack of funding and know-how.

This study analyses approach of the Program for Rural Outreach of Financial Innovations and Technologies (PROFIT) to address this through blended finance instruments and technical assistance.
