Blended finance continues to be a theme of great interest in the development and financial communities. However, at present, agriculture represents a small share of the volume of finance deployed through blended structures, despite the large investment gaps and opportunities in the sector.

This report, jointly prepared with Convergence, addresses how to achieve scale through blending in food and agriculture. The paper also explores ways to reconcile different dimensions of scale among which there may be trade-offs, namely the size of blended vehicles, financial mobilization, and the depth and reach of impact.
