AMEA is a global network comprising 25 members and 6 strategic partners dedicated to accelerating the professionalization of farmer organizations through business development services. This organization provides a platform that enables stakeholders to learn, innovate, and scale up the most effective approaches for supporting farmers and their enterprises. AMEA achieves this by facilitating collaborative work on standards, case studies, dialogues, and the continuous refinement of approaches.
In addition to its global activities, AMEA has established 9 Local Networks across Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Honduras. These networks play a crucial role in engaging local stakeholders and implementing tailored interventions in each region.
AMEA’s members and partners intersect with SAFIN’s membership, involving key institutions such as ACDI/VOCA, IFC, Small Foundation, AGRA, TechnoServe, Aceli Africa, Argidius Foundation, and SCOPEinsight. The alliance is mainly active in sub-Saharan Africa and maintains a presence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
