CAB International (CABI) improves people’s lives worldwide by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment. This is achieved through a global network of centres undertaking capacity building, research, training, development and information management activities. CABI is a global, intergovernmental, not-for-profit organisation, owned and run by its 48-member countries, including India, Kenya and Nigeria.

For the last five years, CABI has been managing all the research and communication activities of the Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) Programme, which aims to drive global investment for inclusive climate-resilient agri-food systems that increase smallholder incomes. As part of its work in CASA, CABI has produced and commissioned a total of 30 research papers (including policy papers and evidence reviews) to make the case for increased agribusiness investment.
