Global Agriculture and Food Security Program
SAFIN member
Launched by the G20 in the wake of the global response to the 2007–08 food price crisis, GAFSP works to build resilient and sustainable agriculture and food systems in low-income countries, in times of crisis and beyond. We provide countries, agribusinesses, and smallholder farmers with financial and technical resources to design and implement projects across the food value chain, from ‘farm to table’. As the world faces multiple and overlapping stresses and shocks – pushing millions of people, including smallholder farmers, deeper into hunger and food insecurity – GAFSP’s mandate is now more relevant than ever.
