Farmers’ organizations across the globe play a key role in the agriculture sector by aggregating groups of producers and offering them a range of services, such as access to inputs, markets and training. Despite that, these organizations face challenges in accessing capital that is adapted to their needs from financial institutions. This report offers new evidence to inform the design of suitable and timely financial products for farmers’ organizations, based on the survey responses of 220 such organizations in West Africa and Asia and the Pacific.
